Another day, another post that is NOT the gorgeous book cover for Numbered #numbered2019. 17 more days until it publishes, and when you’ll get to see the beautiful cover! I’m dying to show you, but if we’re this close, we can wait together, right? June 27 is not that far away! This picture is one of my Raman creations from that Soup cookbook I got, but with a super low carb twist. The noodles are Shirataki noodles, no carbs, gluten, etc! And it tasted amazing. My daughter said this was weeb food. I had to ask her what that means because I’m old. I’m sorry if that’s derogatory. I do not understand this youngster language. Also, today is the hottest day of the year. It passed 100 degrees. Who eats soup on a hot day??? Apparently me. 🍲 P.S. June 27. 🥰

I have so many things I’m excited about right now and I just have to share them out loud. First and biggest is my upcoming release of Numbered, my latest novel. It officially publishes June 27, and I don’t know if I can wait that long! I got the cover back from the designer and you guys, it’s a work of art. It’s so gorgeous! Second, I’m working on my next novel, and I’m totally consumed by it. I can’t tell you more than that right now, but this one is rocking me as I write it. I have a feeling I’ll be able to produce this one fast, at the rate it’s going. Third is about the books I’m reading. I just finished the second book in Sarah J. Maas’ series A Court of Thorns and Roses, and damn it’s so good. These are not quick reads, and it’s slowing up my progress in reading 100 books this year (I’m at 45), but I don’t care. The 2nd book left me breathless. I can’t wait to read the 3rd. Fourth, it’s Sunday, y’all. And sunny and hot here in Northern California. I just love summer weekends! What’s exciting in your world? P.S. This is a tree in my neighbor’s yard, shared only because what I really want to post is a photo of the Numbered cover, but I can’t because I want it to be a surprise. So you get a tree instead.

If I could have everything I ever wanted in life, one of those things would be to own a cafe that specializes in delicious soups. I’d call it Soups & Stuff, and besides soup I’d also serve baked goods and sandwiches, and support local authors and writers with dedicated bookshelves and regular open mic nights, and support local artists with art on the walls for sale. When I saw this book over the weekend, I knew I had to have it. A whole cookbook dedicated to soup! Every page is pure deliciousness, and my dream of making soups outside my writing is a bit warmer the more I peruse the recipes. I know it’s not soup season....just kidding. Every season is soup season. Raise your hand if you love soup! 🙋‍♀️
