She came to change the town. She didn’t expect the town to change her.
Big-city designer Jordy Gallo lands in a Northern California farm town that wants nothing to do with her. Ashton Elliot—a guarded single dad with every reason to keep his distance—is the one person who lets her in. What starts as reluctant proximity becomes the kind of connection neither of them planned for.
Small Town ♡Opposites Attract ♡Single Dad ♡Forced Proximity ♡Slow Burn ♡Emotional Healing
Jordy Gallo doesn’t believe in second chances, especially after her fiancé ended their long-term engagement to marry her cousin. She built a new life in New York, far from the mess she left behind in California. A sleepy town like Lahoma Springs was never part of the plan. But when a business deal brings her back to the West Coast, she finds herself face-to-face with a dusty old seed shop, and a shot at showing she’s more than the girl who got left behind. The last thing she expects is Ashton Elliot—a broody single dad who looks at her like she’s the storm threatening his already fragile peace.
Ashton doesn’t need complications. He’s still healing from the woman who walked out on him and their daughter. Jordy, with her sharp tongue, flashy style, and big-city confidence, is a complication in six-inch heels. But when Jordy crashes into his world (literally), their chemistry ignites something neither of them is ready for, and definitely can’t resist.
They’ve both been burned. They’ve both sworn off love. But sometimes the heart has other plans… And in Lahoma Springs, love always finds a way back.
First introduced in Savior Complex, Jordy returns in The Jilted Lovers Club, a slow-burn, steamy standalone that kicks off the Lahoma Springs series. This new series is a spin-off set in the same world (but different small town) as the Sunset Bay books.
Reader Note
This isn’t the first time I’ve written about the main characters in The Jilted Lovers Club. Jordy Gallo made her debut in Savior Complex (Book 3 of the Sunset Bay series), and Ashton Elliot was first introduced in Hope for the Broken Girl(Book 3 of the Hope series). You absolutely don’t need to read those books to enjoy this one, but if you’re curious about where Jordy and Ashton got their start, those earlier stories are where their journeys began.
Content Note
While The Jilted Lovers Club touches on some deeper topics—including conversations about pregnancy loss and complicated, toxic family dynamics. If those are tender spots for you, please take care as you read.
The Stars of The Jilted Lovers Club
Jordy Gallo
Jordy Gallo traded the fast pace of New York for the dusty charm of small-town Lahoma Springs, where she’s tasked with transforming a tired old storefront. But the town isn’t thrilled about the changes—and Jordy becomes the scapegoat for their resistance.
Once Ashton Elliot cares about someone, he can’t not show up for them. He’ll fix your fence, open his home, rescue your heart before you even realize it’s breaking. He’s a man who once thought he found his happy ending…but then lost it. So he’s definitely not looking for another.
Lahoma Springs is full of loyal, tight-knit characters who show up for each other—even when it’s messy. It’s the kind of place where you always run into someone you know, where the shopkeepers are your friends, and where locals fiercely protect their town’s character.
When NYC designer Jordy Gallo arrives in Lahoma Springs, she’s met with small-town hostility—except from broody single dad Ashton Elliot. A drunken mishap sparks an unexpected connection, but with the town against them and baggage in the way, falling in love could be their biggest mistake… or their best chance.
