For the Birds has a publish date and a cover!

I have so much news, it’s hard to know where to begin. It all has to do with For the Birds, the humorous second-chance romance I’ve been teasing over the past year.

I guess we should start with the cover:

Do you love it? As soon as I had a cover, it’s like everything started to fall in place. Suddenly, For the Birds feels like a real book.

Okay, now for the changes….

First, I have decided not to traditionally publish this book. If you’ll remember, I had planned to shop this book to agents and share the process with all of you. I actually got super close to signing with a publishing house, but at the last minute, I pulled out. There’s a multitude of reasons why, but the biggest was realizing how much I value having creative control, and that I actually have some really great ideas for this book.

Second change, this book will be a standalone. This was the original intention of the book, but for a brief moment I entertained the idea of splitting it into three books. However, once I started writing more to the story, I realized it wasn’t working. And so I scrapped that idea and went with my gut to keep it as is.

And because of these two major changes, For the Birds is almost ready to release! According to my publisher (that’s me!), you can expect this book to be published on MARCH 15!

It’s been over two years since I last published a book (Numbered, a dystopian romance), so I’m equal parts nervous and excited. I’m happy to have you on the journey with me, and I can’t wait to share this book with you!
