I think I’m done….

This is me, carrying a BBQ, because that's the mot recent photo I have of me.

So, I think I finished the third (and final) installment of my Forever After series. I say “think” because I feel I’m at a crossroads.

– If I keep going, I’m teetering into full-length novel ground, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing, but wasn’t what I had originally planned. However, I’m starting to feel like i’m losing the story in trying to get to my predetermined destination.

– If I end it where I think I will, I am throwing away 10,000 words of the continued story, and many of the topics I had hoped to address in this story.

Decisions, decisions.

At any rate, I’ve tentatively decided that I am going with Option #2, and ending the story. However, I need to see it typed out and edited first. Remember, I hand wrote the entire thing – another source of stress with this thing. I keep having visions of something happening to the notebook I am writing in, losing the whole story with no way of backing it up whatsoever.

So that’s where I’m at. Finished, but not. 🙂

In other news, I am still lacking a computer of my own. It seems every time I get close to buying a computer, I talk myself out of it, and decide to save money for a little longer. And then I’ll find one I love, and decide I’m not waiting any longer. But then I talk myself out of it again.

It seems I have computer-phobia. Rather, I have fear of purchasing big items. I’m so scared I will buy this big expensive machine with all the money I’ve been saving up, and then end up with a giant paperweight that won’t do me any good. In the meantime, I am without all the programs I am used to, and it’s causing me great stress.

Who knows, perhaps I’ll have a new computer by the time I blog again. Or perhaps not. Ugh.

I know, I know. This is probably the lamest picture ever of the hugest thing I've seen in my life. But seriously, how are you supposed to get a good picture of a whale from the shore?

And in non-writing related news – I saw a whale this weekend! My husband is laughing at me over this, because it’s such a big deal to me. But the thing is, in all my 36 years I have never seen a whale! And it’s my favorite animal! I can’t stop using exclamation points!!!!

We were sitting on the beach celebrating my hubby’s birthday, when one of the guys exclaimed over the whale. It was super close to shore, though apparently deep enough, and just floating along in the water until it got bored and left. Later in the day, a few more whales came – these ones spouting out water as if to show off that they were there. We also saw dolphins and a seal swim by. Truly amazing.

Any of you have a life changing experience this weekend? Share in the comments. 😉
